Andi Fristedt is a Senior Health Policy Advisor with the Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor and Pensions. She works for Ranking Member Patty Murray of Washington. Andi’s portfolio on the Committee includes public health, global health, and medical research.  Prior to joining the Committee staff, Andi worked at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s Washington Office, where her work most recently focused on HIV/AIDS and viral hepatitis. Previously, Andi worked as a Global Health Fellow at the World Health Organization's Reproductive Health and Research Department in Geneva and in Oregon state politics, serving as campaign manager and later Chief of Staff to an Oregon State Representative. She has a Master's in Public Affairs with an emphasis on health and health policy from Princeton University's Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs and a BA in Family and Human Services from the University of Oregon.
