Amy graduated from the University of Colorado at Boulder with a BS in business and ethnic studies. She did her MPH in global health design, monitoring, and evaluation at the George Washington University, where she studied in Bangladesh for five months. There, she started a teaching initiative at a UNICEF drop-in center. She worked with 40 orphaned girls and designed lesson plans to address health habits, financial planning, art, and basic primary school level curriculum. She has worked with the World Food Programme in both Rome, Italy and Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. Amy has an intense passion, dedication, and conviction for advancing the health of people all over the world. When she was in 12th grade, her dad told her, “All people are your people. It is your job to erase poverty, nakedness, sickness, hunger, and thirst.” Her future aspirations are to continue to work on her dad’s call to action and change the world.
