Dr. Heidi Gullett, MD, MPH, is a family and public health/preventive medicine physician at the Center for Community Health Integration at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine where she teaches health professions students and residents. Her research heavily focuses on helping people move out of poverty, especially in the context of primary care. She has served in community health centers for most of her career, including currently practicing at Neighborhood Family Practice where she provides family medical care, including inpatient medicine, with an emphasis on cancer prevention and women’s health services. For the past 7 years, she has also been embedded as the School of Medicine population health liaison at the Cuyahoga County Board of Health, a position aimed at building partnerships between public health and clinical care in an effort to achieve health equity through community health improvement. She also serves as the medical director for the Cuyahoga County Board of Health and as the co-chair of the Health Improvement Partnership-Cuyahoga (HIP-Cuyahoga). Most importantly, she is married to Travis, an emergency physician, and is mom to 11 year-old Lynelle and 7 year-old Colin.
