Irene Linayao-Putman has a Masters in Public Health with an emphasis in Health Services Administration from San Diego State University. She is a Community Health Program Specialist at the County of San Diego Health & Human Services Agency in Public Health Services. She joined the County after working at the UC San Diego, Moores Cancer Center, and as the Director of Health Promotion; she was at the Union of Pan Asian Communities prior to that. As the State’s Local Lead Agency, she directs the County’s Tobacco Control Resource Program whose work has resulted in both legislative and voluntary tobacco policies to establish smoke-free parks, college campuses, outdoor dining patios, and multi-unit housing complexes. Irene also led the tobacco intervention for the County’s Community Transformation Grant contract funded by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
