Rea Pañares, MHS
Rea Pañares is currently the senior advisor to Prevention Institute (PI), a national center dedicated to building momentum for community prevention. In this role, she develops partnerships with practitioners, policymakers, and thought leaders; strengthens health care practice to advance PI’s Community-Centered Health Home model; and monitors related policies and practices. Prior to joining PI, she was an independent health policy consultant, working with organizations to take full advantage of the Affordable Care Act, and held positions with Families USA, Grantmakers In Health, National Business Group on Health, and the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. She holds a master's degree in health policy and management from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health and a bachelor’s degree from the University of California, Berkeley.
