Steven D. Standley

Steven D. Standley has served in senior leadership roles at University Hospitals in Cleveland, Ohio since July 2000. He currently serves as Chief Administrative Officer, a position responsible for system-wide master facilities planning, plant operations, biomedical engineering, system-wide sustainability programs, major construction projects, supply chain, shared services, marketing, government affairs, diversity and inclusion, nutrition and environmental services, laboratory, radiology, pharmacy and real estate. Mr. Standley was responsible for the Vision 2010 project including the construction of two new hospitals and thirty-six other major construction projects totaling over one billion dollars for the System.
Mr. Standley maintains many professional and community affiliations and serves on the Greater University Circle Leadership Group. Previously, he has served as board member of several organizations including the Board of Trustees and Executive Committee of The Medical Center Company, University Circle Incorporated, Evergreen Cooperatives Corporation Board, Greater Cleveland Partnership Construction Diversity & Inclusion Committee, New Bridge-Cleveland Center for Arts & Technology, Health Tech Corridor Steering Committee, Southwest General Hospital, CSA UHHS, Inc., and the W.O. Walker Center.
In 2014, Mr. Standley was the recipient of the Homer C. Wadsworth Award. The award is given annually by The Cleveland Foundation to a local leader who has demonstrated creativity, innovation, ingenuity, risk-taking and good humor in a civic, volunteer, nonprofit or public sector role. On November 19, 2015, Mr. Standley was awarded the Joseph D. Pigott University Circle Leadership Award. The award is presented at University Circle Inc.’s Annual Meeting each fall to an individual who has continued Mr. Pigott’s legacy as a champion for collaboration and growth in University Circle.
