Michael Miller is president and founder of Brown-Miller Communications, Inc., a cause-oriented public relations agency. He has spent the past 30 years working with the media, policymakers, and communities to help shape public opinion and motivate positive social change. Rooted in issues affecting the nation’s health, health care, food and agriculture communities, he works to raise awareness on issues such as substance use disorder, farmworker health, childhood obesity, and long-term care. His skills as a strategic communicator have helped address a broad list of critical legislative issues, including media support of efforts to remove unhealthy foods and beverages from schools and his campaign to win support for menu labeling legislation. For his work in addressing nutrition and health issues, Mr. Miller has been awarded the nation’s highest public relations honor, the Silver Anvil, on four different occasions.
