Please join us for a timely discussion regarding the development and implementation of Community Transformation Grants and the National Prevention Strategy. Representatives from the Department of Health and Human Services Office of Health Reform and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention will share current information concerning efforts underway to advance the community prevention provisions of the Affordable Care Act.
There is consensus for community prevention. A recent poll reveals that 73% of the public supports investment in community prevention. As two hallmarks of the Affordable Care Act, Community Transformation Grants and the National Prevention Strategy present opportunities to leverage our collective knowledge and experience in order to achieve healthier and more equitable communities.
The Forum's primary objectives are:
- Provide updates on Community Transformation Grants and the National Prevention Strategy; and
- Offer an opportunity to comment on and provide input to the implementation of Community Transformation Grants and development of the National Prevention Strategy.
