Empowering Communities: Tools for Building Partnerships between Health Departments and Community Health Workers

Community Health Workers (CHWs) have come to the forefront of conversations around building trust and addressing the public’s health in a community. CHWs and CHW-led community organizations can be powerful partners in many interventions, but to effectively hire or partner with CHWs, organizations need to understand their key roles, training, and scope of work. Register for this event to find resources from the National Association of Community Health Workers (NACHW) on hiring, training, partnering, financing CHW programs.

Learning Objectives for this webinar include:

  • Learning about the history of CHWs, where they work, and their core competencies

  • Locating and understanding tools for partnering and hiring in CHW program

  • Identifying ways to continue learning and get involved with the CHW workforce at a local, state, or national level!
