Kristian Kidholm is professor in innovation and Head of research at CIMT – Center for Innovative Medical Technologies, Odense University Hospital and the University of Southern Denmark.
At the hospital he participates in development and assessment of the value and cost-effectiveness of new digital health technologies in the clinical departments together with nurses and doctors in the clinical departments.
Professor Kidholm was leading the development of MAST (Model for Assessment of Telemedicine) for the EU Commission. MAST is the most widely used framework for assessment of the value of telemedicine in Europe. He was invited keynote speaker to present MAST at the world conference on Health Technology Assessment in Tokio in 2016 and he will be the keynote speaker on how to assess the effectiveness of digital health technologies at the World Hospital Congress in Barcelona the fall of 2020.
As the head of research at CIMT Kristian Kidholm is leading the studies in digital health technologies at the hospital and the research team including medical researchers, researchers in nursing, engineering and public health.
At the University of Southern Denmark he is teaching medicinal students in telemedicine and also managing the Course in innovation and clinical management at the medical master program. Professor Kidholm has authored more than 40 publications in peer reviewed journals and is a reviewer for several scientific journals in health economics, HTA and telemedicine. He has a RG score of 30 and a H-index of 14.
