Dr. Myers is the Director of the Kimmel Cancer Center where he established a Cancer Prevention & Control Program. He is also Director of the Department of Medical Oncology, Division of Population Science and a Professor in the Department of Psychiatry & Human Behavior at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, PA. Dr. Myers has conducted cancer prevention, control, and population science research for over 20 years. He has been a principal investigator on a number of NIH-funded research grants and has numerous peer-reviewed publications in the field. His areas of expertise include patient adherence to cancer screening; physician follow-up of abnormal cancer screening test results; and informed and shared decision making in cancer screening, susceptibility testing and clinical trials participation.
