Charles Hawthorne, MPH (they/them)  is an experienced harm reductionist, facilitator, curriculum designer, and organizational coach focusing on values-driven program design and organizational development. They have provided training and technical assistance to programs serving people who use drugs for the past seven years at the local, state, and national levels. Charles has worked for a range of harm reduction technical assistance providers, supporting internal and external racial equity strategies, implementing harm reduction services, and designing curricula for harm reduction service providers. Charles has created and facilitated education experiences for various communities, including healthcare providers, students, public health workers, treatment providers, harm reductionists, government officials, and the general public.

Charles received their B.S. in biochemistry from Purdue University and their Master of Public Health from Johns Hopkins University as a Bloomberg American Health Initiative addiction and overdose fellow.
