CHWs Working in Diverse Settings - The Hawai'i Exemplar

Do you know about how Community Health Workers (CHWs) can support your work in a clinical or public health care setting? Are you interested in establishing or strengthening a CHW association or program in your state? Do you want to learn about a successful state-wide CHW program model?

Join us for an enlightening conversation with the Hawai'i Community Health Worker Association on their unique history and experience in forming a statewide CHW Association through assistance from the Hawai'i Public Health Institute. Our panelists will discuss the ways in which CHWs in Hawai’i have contributed to client care and bring a better understanding of community conditions for care providers. Panelists will also discuss the importance of diversity and depth of lived experience within the CHW population.
