This webinar will provide an opportunity for public health practitioners and community leaders throughout the country to learn from experts in rural health about the strategies required to move from high-level goals to measurable results. Panelists will discuss their local implementation work, with an emphasis on how adaptive leadership and strategic partnerships have supported their efforts in rural settings. Attendees will be exposed to the “how-to” of public health leadership used by teams who have participated in the Leadership Academy for the Public’s Health (LAPH) program. From navigating roadblocks to building trust with unlikely partners, this session offers tools and ideas applicable to anyone working to create impact in a complex community landscape.
The session will be moderated by PHI Center for Health Leadership & Impact Senior Advisor Carmen Rita Nevarez and feature LAPH alumni team representatives Elaine Johannes (Kansas Community Health Work Partnership) and Janet Johnson (Improving Indigenous Birth Outcomes in New Mexico).
This Web Forum is sponsored by the Leadership Academy for the Public’s Health, and produced by Dialogue4Health, both programs of PHI Center for Health Leadership & Impact.
