President, Central Coast Overdose Prevention
Dr. Reb Close attended medical school at UCLA, after which she completed residency in Emergency Medicine at the UCLA/Olive View program in Los Angeles. She practiced Emergency Medicine for 20 years then received her board certification in Addiction Medicine and transitioned to Addiction Medicine in 2022. She currently practices in various settings, seeing patients in an outpatient practice as well as in street based and jail settings. She is one of the founders of Central Coast Overdose Prevention, a nonprofit focused on addiction prevention and advocating for low-barrier treatment. She is a medical director for Montage Health's Prescribe Safe program - which also works on addiction prevention and advocating for treatment. She has been a Regional Director and Implementation Leader with California Bridge to Treatment. She is now serving California Bridge as a Clinical Fellow.
