Allison Smith, PhD

Dr. Allison M. Smith is the Senior Program Administrator of the Louisiana Center Addressing Substance Use in Collegiate Communities (LaCASU) Office at the Louisiana Board of Regents. In her role, Dr. Smith also facilitates the Louisiana Higher Education Coalition (LaHEC), oversees statewide Core Survey administration, provides professional development training, facilitates campus community partnerships, and renders technical assistance around the issue of substance mis\use prevention and recovery in Louisiana’s collegiate communities.
Dr. Smith has spent the last 10 years working in the field, with eight of those years being spent at Louisiana State University before an entity move to the Louisiana Board of Regents, where she continues this work while also supporting broader campus safety policy work and initiatives.
