Dr. Michael Wong earned his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Touro University-California in 2016 and completed his post-graduate pharmacy residency at the County of Santa Clara Health System (CSCHS) in 2017. Following his residency, Dr. Wong pioneered and helped establish the Primary Care Pharmacist position at CSCHS, playing a key role in expanding the role across seven internal medicine clinics. In 2019, he joined the Valley Homeless Healthcare Program (VHHP) as a clinical pharmacist, where he currently manages a variety of co-morbidities, including diabetes, hypertension, Hepatitis C, opioid use disorder, and more.
In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Wong serves as a preceptor and mentor to residents and students and participates in the SCVMC Residency Teaching Certificate Program. He is also an active member of the California Society of Health-System Pharmacists (CSHP) Task Force, contributing to advancing pharmacy practice and patient care initiatives.
When he's not working, Dr. Wong enjoys sleeping, rock climbing, and playing video games.
