Brad Friday is a Senior Program Administrator and Data Management Coordinator for the Ventura County Behavioral Health Substance Use Services and Prevention Department and has been in this capacity since May of 2020.
Brad holds Bachelor of Science from Trident University in Environmental Health. His professional career began concurrently with his education when he joined the United States Navy as a Basic Hospital Corpsman, then progressed through the ranks and obtained multiple designations, to include the specialty of Preventive Medicine Technician.
Since honorably departing Military Service, Brad has had a diverse career trajectory, which includes working with the Department of the Navy as a Vector Control Professional, Ventura County Medical Center on the Trauma Surgery team, then over to Ventura County Public Health Department as a Health Educator before coming over to serve his community in his current capacity.
He has served on an array of committees, to include the Institutional Animal Use and Control Committee (IACUC) for Naval Medical Center San Diego, as well as the Perinatal Substance Use Task Force for the Ventura County Health Care Agency.
Brad lives with his wife, a teacher within the local school system, and their two children. But it doesn’t stop there, there are also three dogs, a guinea pig and a rabbit named “Mookie”. He enjoys cooking, training dogs, working out, playing various sports and being outdoors.
