With over 28 years of experience in substance and mental health, Rodger brings a comprehensive perspective to addiction recovery, mental health advocacy, and community outreach. Currently serving as a substance Use Navigator at Dameron Hospital Emergency Department in Stockton, California, he specializes in connecting individuals with vital resources and supports overcoming substance use challenges. Rodger plays a vital role in assisting physicians with starting patients on Suboxone and other lifesaving medications.
Rodger’s career began in detox and sobering centers across Northern California and later expanded his expertise by working with State Parole, assessing and placing parolees into appropriate treatment programs. For two decades, Rodger served as a Dual Diagnosis and relapse prevention counselor, guiding clients through complex recovery journeys.
In addition to his clinical work, Rodger has held leadership roles, including Director of Education and managing a vocational rehab program. As a person in long time recovery for over 32 years, Rodger is passionate about sharing hope and empowering others on their path to recovery and wellness. Beyond his professional pursuits, he is the Chapter Elder and President of Bikers for Christ Napa/Solano Chapter and serves as the Chairman of the Bikers Rights Organization of Northern California. Rodger is also actively involved in the San Joaquin County Opioid Coalition, advocating for community wide solutions to the opioid crisis.
Rodger’s mission is to keep people alive so that someday they can get into recovery. There is no recovery after DEATH.
