Patrick Rich has over 15 years of experience with Louisville Metro government, working to make the City of Louisville a safe place for children to grow and prosper. Recently promoted to Executive Administrator of the Environmental Division of Louisville Metro Public Health and Wellness.  After earning a degree from the University of Louisville with a focus on Physical Education, he began work with the Health Department to increase access to healthy foods and exercise for Louisville’s urban areas. Several years spent in the city’s Property Maintenance division gave him firsthand experience with houses contaminated by environmental lead and those affected by it. Patrick returned to LMPHW in 2017 in a supervisory capacity, working various programs including the Childhood Lead Poisoning Prevention program, and helped to create and implement the Lead Rental Registry, before it’s appeal by the Metro Council in early 2025.
